How Does the New Volvo XC60 and XC90 Compare to the Competition?

  • The new Volvo XC60 comes equipped with standard all-wheel drive while the new Mercedes-Benz GLC does not. When the GLC does come with all-wheel drive equipped, it costs $42,050 MSRP compared to $41,500 MSRP from the new XC60.
  • The new XC60 offers standard features that only come optional in the new GLC Class, including a standard panoramic moonroof, LED headlights, leather seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and more.
  • The new XC60 offers a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 250-horsepower. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC also offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine but it falls short with 241-horsepower.
  • The XC60 offers up to 63.3 cubic feet of cargo space when you fold the rear seats flat. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC only offers up to 56.5 cubic feet of storage space.

2018 Volvo XC90 vs. 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE

  • The new Volvo XC90 starts at $46,900 MSRP while the new Mercedes-Benz GLE starts at $52,200 MSRP.
  • The Mercedes-Benz GLE offers more standard horsepower than the XC90, but the XC90 allows you to save money on fuel by offering up to 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while the new Mercedes-Benz GLE offers up to 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
  • The new XC90 offers the Pilot Assist semi-autonomous drive system with adaptive cruise control and more. The GLE doesn't offer any comparable semi-autonomous driving system.
  • The new Volvo XC90 is more well equipped, with standard features that are either not available or are optional in the Mercedes-Benz GLE, including a standard navigation system, panoramic sunroof, hands-free power tailgate, keyless entry and more!
